Clean the Laser Windows and Remove Excess Toner From the Imaging Unit
Solution: If Problem Occurred After Installing a New Imaging Unit Check That the Imaging Unit Seals Have Been Removed Completely

When removing the 4 seals from the imaging unit ensure that the entire seal has been removed.

    Note: Each seal should measure 26 inches in length.

Solution: Replace the Imaging Unit (installation instructions)


    Note: Consumables ARE NOT interchangeable between the Phaser 6200 and 6250 printers. Always verify you have the correct consumable for your printer by checking the part number.

    Note: Remember to use the white Information Key on the Front Panel to gain access to additional, important details about the current display message, such as jam clearing instructions and Supply's re-ordering information.
Front Panel

  1. Push up button A and fully open the front cover.
  2. Open A

  3. Open Cover C.
  4. Open Cover C

  5. Remove the imaging unit from its container
  6. Imaging Unit Package


       
    • Do not touch the black colored roller.
    • Don't Touch Transfer Roller

    • Do not allow the surface of the transfer roller to come into contact with anything.

  7. Grip the handle on the top of the imaging unit and gently lift it out of the printer. Discard the old imaging unit as normal office waste.

  8.     Note: Hold the imaging unit by the handle on top of the unit to prevent the unit from falling.

    Remove Imaging Unit

  9. Take a new imaging unit out of its packaging and pull hard on each of the 4 seals to remove them. Pull the seals completely out. Verify that the entire seal has been removed.
  10. Remove Seals


        Note: Keep the aluminum package of the imaging unit in case you need to transport the printer over long distances in the future.

  11. Hold the left and right sides of the imaging unit and remove the protective cover from it. Discard the cover as normal office waste.
  12. Remove Protective Cover


       

    • Lowering the unit into the printer without correctly aligning the shafts with the slots can damage the unit.
    • Do not allow the surface of the transfer roller to come into contact with anything.

  13. Hold the imaging unit by the handle, align its 4 shafts with the slots indicated by the arrows on the printer, and gently lower it into the printer.
  14. Install Imaging Unit

  15. Remove the protective sheet from the imaging unit.
  16. Remove Protective Sheet

  17. Close door C.
  18. Close Cover C

  19. Close front cover A.
  20. Close Cover A
